ME:WE is a portrait series that aims -- through text and stippling -- to tell the stories of nine survivors of sexual assault.
With a selfie as reference photo, I drew each woman using tens of thousands of tiny ink dots. The words that accompany each portrait come directly from each woman and have not been edited.
This series was inspired by my own assault in 2006, and the journey that began when I finally told my story publicly in 2016.
Thank you Kristina, Nikki, Kaitlin, Arielle, Pasha, Ashley, Alicia, Jenny and Angela for sharing your stories and making this project possible.
